The Infinite Arts Festival Lissarda 27-28 June 2015
The second annual Infinite Arts Festival was a huge success! Infinite Arts teachers, current students, ex-students and members of the general public came together for two fantastic days of fun, laughter, caring, and of course sharing the precious gifts of Jason Chan’s Infinite Tai Chi, Chi Yoga, Chi Kung and Infinite Meditation.
As a guest of the festival organiser, I was bowled over by the unique teaching skills and radiant presence of all the session leaders. Even though I have been practising the Infinite Arts for over 15 years (!!), I learnt something new and exciting from each wonderful class that I attended. I felt my body relax and stretch in two equally enjoyable, but totally different, chi yoga classes. I became a Golden Dragon for 40 minutes in an empowering Chi Kung class during which I ‘sat in a rice field’ ‘stood on the mountain top and ‘flew out of my dragon’s cave’. I then joined old hands and complete beginners for a truly inspiring Infinite Tai Chi class during which I ‘waved my hands like clouds’ ‘pushed the ocean waves ‘flowed like a great river’ and ‘stood like a great mountain in perfect balance and perfect strength’!
Meanwhile, all the children who attended the festival with their parents were having fabulous fun in the gorgeous grounds of Lissarda aided and abetted by the incredible Yogi Child team and a whole load of adults who seemed to be having a ball acting their shoe size, rather than their age!
Sadly, the two day festival flew by, and before I knew it, we were all gathered together for a moving closing ceremony led by Yogi Cho that was dedicated to World Peace.
So in conclusion, I would just like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful people who organised the festival, including the owners of Lissarda Manor (what a beautiful place!) to the truly inspirational Infinite Arts teachers and students and to all my infinite Arts friends and colleagues –old and new.
