Becoming Empowered by the Chi
Chi is an energy or life-force that supports your physical existence. When you consciously connect to this life-force, you will feel a sense of aliveness, harmony and wholeness. When this life-force permeates your energy and your physical body, you will feel safe and secure, but as soon as you start worrying about the future, you will lose this life-giving connection. Whenever you allow your mind to worry, you dissipate or leak chi, and then you will no longer feel so safe or strong.
When you are feeling safe and strong, you will not bully others or try to control others so much. You really cannot afford to allow your mind to wander off into a train of fearful thoughts. You need to focus your mind on becoming empowered by the chi and the light so that you can become a truly safe and radiant presence in the world. When you practise Infinite Tai Chi, you should focus on strengthening your base and second centres and your stance over and over again. Next, you have to direct the chi so that it permeates all of your energy channels or meridians.
You cannot cultivate chi if your mind is busy, or wandering away from your breath and your movement. Your mind has to be calm and quiet before you can hold and cultivate a lot of chi. But just be standing quietly and holding chi between your palms, you can become very healthy because you are getting in touch with a great life force that you can use to heal, strengthen and empower yourself on all levels.
Everything in our body has an energy flowing through it, and although energy meridians are not yet mapped out precisely, they definitely exist. These channels act as an interface between the chi life- force and your physical body. According to quantum physics, your whole physical body is primarily made up of energy waves, and you can use the power of your mind to increase the flow of this energy through all the energy channels in your body. These channels are not concrete, but they definitely exist!
